Location: El Mehdi Beach Resort Superior sits on the eastern Tunisian coast in Mahdia, right along a fine sandy shoreline and only about 2 km from the town centre, with its shops, cafés and restaurants. Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport is around 50–60 minutes away; Enfidha–Hammamet International Airport is a further drive inland. Local buses run to the centre about every 30 minutes.

Beach: The resort occupies a first-line position on one of Tunisia’s finest sandy beaches, immediately in front of the hotel. The sea entry is along a wide stretch of fine sand. Parasols, sun loungers and mattresses on the beach are included in the stay; beach towels are available against a deposit and a small daily fee, and orthopaedic sunbeds can be hired on the spot at the beach and pools.

Accommodation: The complex offers 394 rooms, arranged in a main building with lifts, additional buildings and 55 bungalows set in landscaped gardens. Accommodation comprises 182 double rooms (89 with sea view), 145 family rooms (88 with sea view), 55 bungalows (19 of them interconnecting), 7 single rooms and 4 suites. The hotel was built in 1969 and renovated in 2009 and operates year-round.

Aquapark: Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool area that includes a pool with water slides, alongside separate children’s pools, all within the hotel grounds.

Pools: Two outdoor swimming pools, one indoor pool and two children’s pools serve the resort. Parasols, sunbeds and mattresses around the swimming pools are free of charge. Orthopaedic sunbeds at the pools are available for a daily fee on the spot.

About the Hotel: El Mehdi Beach Resort Superior is a renovated holiday complex in Arab-Moorish style, wrapped in gardens and opening directly onto the sea. Dining revolves around main restaurant L'Olivier with international and local buffet cuisine and themed show-cooking evenings, The Blue restaurant for late breakfast, snacks and tea time, Night Express for overnight snacks, and three à la carte venues — Habibi's (Tunisian), Le Pêcheur / The Blue Mediterranean and Ipanema (Brazilian). Le Voilier restaurant also operates on site. Bars include the Lobby Bar, Pool Bar, Garden Bar, restaurant bar and Night Express. Two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and two children's pools, a mini club and a youth stop for teens, tennis courts, sports fields and evening animation complete the picture. Staff communicate in English, German, French and Italian.

Sports and Activities: Daytime and evening animation keep the programme lively. Included sports cover two hard tennis courts, basketball, table tennis, mini golf, aerobics, boccia, volleyball, water polo, aquagym and stretching, a football pitch and beach tennis, plus darts. Evening entertainment includes animation shows. A gym, billiards, beach water sports in summer, sauna, hammam and massage are also available on the property.

SPA and Wellness: A spa and wellness offer includes sauna, hammam and massage. One sauna session of 15 minutes per person per stay is noted in the hotel concept, with further treatments and hammam available at the wellness area.

Family Room: Family rooms of about 32 sq.m, with garden or partial sea view, are a more spacious single-space option for families. Furnishing includes a double bed plus extra beds or a bunk bed depending on configuration. Terrace or balcony, TV, telephone, mini fridge, hairdryer and bathroom with bathtub are standard; air conditioning is provided in July and August. Maximum occupancy is 4 adults or 2 adults plus 2 children.

Bungalow: Bungalows sit in the gardens outside the main building; 19 of the 55 bungalows interconnect. They sleep a maximum of 4 adults or 2 adults plus 2 children, with terrace or balcony, TV, telephone, mini fridge, hairdryer and bathroom. Air conditioning is available in July and August. Interconnecting bungalows suit families who want adjoining units.

Single: Seven single rooms offer a compact stay with terrace or balcony, TV, telephone, mini fridge, hairdryer and bathroom. Air conditioning is available in July and August.

Suite: Four suites complete the inventory, each with terrace or balcony and the same core in-room services (TV, telephone, mini fridge, hairdryer, bathroom). Air conditioning is available in July and August.

Lunch: Buffet lunch is at L'Olivier from 12:30 to 14:30. Snacks run at The Blue from 12:00 to 15:00. A children's buffet is offered at L'Olivier from 12:00 to 13:00.

Dinner: Themed buffet dinner with show cooking is at L'Olivier from 18:30 to 21:30 (restaurant bar 19:00–22:00 in summer). Children's buffet dinner is 18:00–19:30 (19:00–20:00 in summer). One a la carte dinner per stay is included at each of Habibi's, Le Pecheur and Ipanema (19:00–22:00), subject to reception reservation.

Drinks: The All Inclusive concept includes local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks without limit according to the hotel programme. Night Express serves soft drinks overnight. Imported and premium drinks are extra.

Restaurants: Main restaurant L'Olivier serves buffet breakfast, lunch and themed dinner with show cooking, plus a dedicated children's buffet. The Blue restaurant covers late breakfast, lunch snacks and tea time. Night Express offers overnight snacks. A la carte restaurants Habibi's (Tunisian), Le Pecheur (Mediterranean) and Ipanema (Brazilian) operate 19:00–22:00 with one reservation per stay per restaurant, booked at reception. Restaurant Le Voilier (12:00–24:00) is extra charge.

Bars: Lobby Bar is open 09:00–24:00, with cocktails 21:00–24:00. Pool Bar (summer) runs 10:00–18:00 and 20:00–23:00. Garden Bar (soft drinks in summer) is 10:00–18:00. The restaurant bar at L'Olivier follows meal times. Night Express serves soft drinks 22:00–06:00. Bar Do (10:00–02:00) and the discotheque (23:00–04:00) are extra charge.
